Executive Management
Bodo Helm
Bodo Helm is Managing Director of ELIN Motoren. He studied mechanical engineering in Hamburg and has worked in engineering, production, supply chain management and strategic purchasing throughout his career, including mechanical and plant engineering, high-precision machine tools and renewable energies. His area of responsibility at ELIN Motoren covers Technic, Operations, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management and Health, Safety and Environmental Protection.
Maximilian Giehr
Maximilian Giehr is Managing Director of ELIN Motoren. He studied Economics and Finance in Maastricht (Netherlands) and Kingston (Canada). After completing his studies, he first worked for a strategy consulting firm and then joined the Voith Group in Corporate Development, which he eventually led. He later served as Managing Director and was responsible for establishing a new Voith company in the hydrogen sector. At ELIN Motoren, he is responsible for Finance and Controlling, Commercial Order Processing, IT, Human Resources, and Sales.
Our Group Structure
On December 14th 2021, ELIN Motoren was entirely acquired by the Voith Group. With 900 ELIN Motoren employees worldwide, we manufacture around 1.900 pieces of electric engines / generators with a performance range up to 65 MVA / 35 MW.

| 1994: | Privatization of VA Technologie via Vienna Stock Exchange. | ||
| 2002: | TRASYS acquires 80,1% of the shares of ELIN Motoren GmbH. | ||
| 2004: | Joint Venture with Suzlon Generators Ltd., Pune/India. | ||
| 2005: | TRASYS as 100% owner of ELIN Motoren GmbH. | ||
| 2009: | Occupation of the new building in Preding/Weiz. | ||
| 2015: | Foundation of the subsidiary ELIN Motoren Bosnia d.o.o., Živinice/BH. | ||
| 2017: | Acquisition of Nordmetal Kft., Bátonyterenye/Hungary. Umbenennung in ELIN Metal Kft. (11/2018). |
